BEGINNER TUMBLE

Entry Level

Designed for those new to tumbling, this level introduces the basics: forward rolls, backward rolls, and bridges. Athletes gain body control, coordination, and flexibility while developing a strong technical foundation for higher-level skills.

BEGINNER ADVANCED

Next Steps

Once the basics are mastered, athletes move on to handstands, cartwheels, and bridge backs. This class builds strength and body awareness, preparing athletes for walkovers and more advanced tumbling combinations.

The first step into power tumbling! Athletes learn front and back limbers, round offs, and back handsprings down a wedge. Proper technique, body alignment, and confidence are key focuses as athletes begin working dynamic skills.

BHS ADVANCED

Power & Combo

For athletes ready to link skills together, this level combines strength, speed, and precision. Skills include back handsprings, walkover-to-handspring transitions, and round off to multiple handsprings. Emphasis is placed on power generation and smooth tumbling connections.

TUCKS

Advanced

Athletes at this level master advanced tumbling combinations such as round off → back handspring → back tuck, aerials, and front punches. Training emphasizes technique, power, and control to safely progress into elite-level tumbling.

How Do Promotions Work?

When athletes consistently demonstrate safe technique on the listed skills, coaches recommend the next level. In addition, every 4 weeks athletes are tested on the skills for that specific class; our coaches update the skills tracker and parents receive an email update. When an athlete masters a skill, they are celebrated by signing the Skill Poster on the wall and we capture a quick video to highlight the new skill on social media. Once all skills for a particular class are mastered, the athlete’s achievement is celebrated with a Level Button for their backpack and a photo with our “Level Up” sign.

What Should Athletes Bring?
