Fusion Athletics began in February of 2010 as Green Bay Fusion All Star Cheerleading, created in response to a growing need in our community for something different. We set out to build more than just a cheer gym — we wanted a place that cared about athletes as whole individuals, valued character as much as skill, fostered genuine community, and never believed in winning at all costs.

Fusion started humbly, renting floor space inside a local gymnastics center. Just three years later, we had outgrown that space and were ready to take the next step. We moved into a small warehouse in Ashwaubenon, where our All Star Cheer program doubled in size and our Ninja program was born. It was also during this time that we began hosting birthday parties, and our sense of community continued to grow.

Within just two more years, Fusion was once again bursting at the seams. We relocated down the street to our current home at 999 Ashwaubenon, allowing us to expand our programming and better serve our athletes and families. As our offerings grew, we rebranded from Green Bay Fusion to Fusion Athletics Green Bay, reflecting the wide variety of programs we now provide — and the rest is history.

Fusion Athletics was founded by Melissa Brauer, a former gymnast and cheerleader who credits the lessons she learned in the gym — hard work, determination, resilience, and teamwork — as foundational to who she is today.

As a young athlete, Melissa had a coach who supported her during difficult times, made her feel valued, heard, and genuinely cared for. Those experiences left a lasting impact and continue to shape Fusion’s mission today. That same sense of support, encouragement, and belief is what Melissa strives to provide every athlete who walks through Fusion’s doors.

At Fusion Athletics, we are proud to be more than a gym. We are a community built on trust, growth, and heart — dedicated to developing confident, capable athletes both inside and outside the gym.
